Built with heart and soul by a group of health and fitness professionals (and good friends), Bodyfix Gym was established in 2011 as a space where anyone and everyone could feel supported and empowered. To us, exercise is first and foremost about feeling happy, healthy and full of life! Our focus is on helping you feel confident in who you are, by giving you the tools and knowledge to take care of not just your body, but also your mind.
We believe it’s the people that make a place what it is and at Bodyfix Gym we’re proud to know our members by name. Together we’ve created a vibrant, diverse and down-to-earth community where people lift each other up and know how to have a good laugh – all while working hard and getting their hearts pumping.
With more than 48 group classes per week, there is something for all ages, abilities and fitness levels at Bodyfix Gym. As a member, you’ll enjoy our unique range of strength, cardio, yoga and recovery classes, plus our top-of-the-line spin equipment – all housed in our new, world-class facility.
Our dedicated cardio and weight-training studio offer the latest state-of-the-art equipment, a specialised boxing area and Myzone technology, which allows you to track your workouts and performance in real-time. Voted the Best Gym in Christchurch by the people of Canterbury, we’re home to some of New Zealand’s leading personal trainers and group-fitness instructors, who each bring their own specialist skills and one-of-a-kind sparkle to Bodyfix Gym.
We’re all here to support you on your journey, whatever that may look like. Whether you simply want to be able to run around with the kids, or you’re competing in high-level sport, we can tailor a programme to suit your goals and ensure you get the most out of your membership.
At Bodyfix Gym we strongly believe that our role as a gym goes far beyond exercise. We offer educational workshops and talks for the whole community on topics such as mental health, nutrition, and women’s and men’s health, plus regularly fundraise for special causes close to our hearts.
Bodyfix Gym is a member of the Exercise Association of New Zealand. We’re also very proud to be part of the ACC Strength and Balance programme and to provide our space to Exercise NZ – Exercise As Medicine, a charitable trust that delivers specific programmes to people living with long-term health issues.
Our memberships are designed to suit your lifestyle, with concession, short-term and long-term options, and no joining fee! As a member, you’ll gain full access to our gym and all Bodyfix Gym classes, as well as free group challenges, weekly workout ideas, nutrition advice and an online support community.
