Never Miss a Monday with Moo the Owner of Bodyfix Gym in Christchurch

So setting hard and fast rules with our fitness usually doesn’t make much sense hey. 🤷‍♀️
We all have fitness levels, different likes, dislikes, different goals, bodies and of course LIFE. We lead different lives. Whatever is going on in our lives plays a huge part in how our weeks roll out in regards to our health and fitness.

But there is one fitness rule I set for myself and that is never miss a Monday.

“Never miss a Monday” I yell it out every Monday. 😎
Getting a good start to the week means that we are in control of our week. Getting a class in, PT Session or just your own workout is the way to go, it really is. All of our Team swear by this. Choosing to workout, on a Monday, drink more water and eat better just does wonders for our insides and also our mindset!

1. Working out on Monday = Accomplishment 🙏

Mondays can be a drag and while I love Mondays so many of you out there hate them. We don’t have a day off in our house all of our days just roll into one, but we are a little weird. 😂 But I know coming back to work after two days off for so many of you it is bloody hard work hey.
So many start the day tired, then as the day goes on we are mentally drained and anxiously running through our massive to-do list for the week ahead. 🤦‍♀️
Many of you out there who exercise will say there’s nothing more motivating than that sense of accomplishment I get after finishing that Monday workout. It really helps to adopt a “can-do” attitude for the week ahead.

2. Too Busy vs One solid workout 👌🏿

Let’s face it shit happens right. 🤷‍♀️ Work gets too busy, life gets in the way, kids, animals arrrggghhhhhh and the list goes on.
There are so many reasons why many people skip their workouts but if we start our Monday with a workout at least that is one for the week right?
I consider exercise at top of my list 👌🏿 it is something that is a non-negotiable for me. I mean lets face it, you can’t own gym and not love working out. 🤷‍♀️
It is how we roll in our family and Team & we love knowing that we are doing something that’s good for our health & wellness and of course longevity.

3. Workout once = Leads to more 💪

Monday workout truly sets the tone for my week ahead. When you start the week feeling accomplished and positive, you want to keep that going, right?
I am so fortunate to teach classes which means planning them into my week but that first workout on a Monday definitely leaves me thinking right I’m ready for the week and those feel-good vibes kick in.
Many we know have a really tough time getting motivated especially if you miss Monday and start midweek, once we are donkey deep into the daily grind and things get too hectic, but we are way more likely to keep it up if we start right on a Monday despite our busy schedules.
Even when I’m really not in the mood to work out on a Monday, and yes I have those days, I know I’ll end up thanking myself throughout the rest of the week for sticking to my rule and making it a priority.

And lastly

strengthening the “habit muscle” of working out on a Monday or any days is key to the success we will all find with consistency of our workouts.
