I started working and teaching in the Fitness Industry at the age of 17 and I love it even more than I did back then.
I have a huge huge passion for helping anyone & everyone out there to have a better and healthier lifestyle while at the same time achieving your health and fitness goals.
I'm so extremely humble to work with a team who are some of the most inspiring, motivated & passionate people you could ever meet.
Bodyfix is a fun place to be, one where everyone is welcome and one where there are so many life long friendships made.
I have always been very clear in my mind about where I wanted to be and its here....Bodyfix is my home!

Aly has been working in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years, with personal training and teaching group fitness, but, her main focus now is teaching yoga. Her style of teaching covers Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Anusara-inspired practice. Aly is a 200 hour fully certified yoga instructor and registered with Yoga Alliance body of teachers. Aly is continuously learning and attends workshops and yoga education seminars, her Dharma is to always keep learning, be inspired and share those teachings with others.
Aly still regularly weight trains 5 days a week, walks her Shitzu, Toby every day and follows her own mat practice regularly. Aly's favourite time is preparing healthy dinners for her family, supporting NZ and UK equestrian sports ( her other passion is horses!) and Netflix...

I am Jayden. I am a registered personal trainer and group fitness instructor with the Registered Exercise Professionals NZ. I am also a registered therapist and psychotherapy student. I have been employed within the health and fitness industry since 2005. I am proud to deliver fun, safe and challenging group exercise classes at Bodyfix.

Hi my name is Jackie, I’m married with 4 amazing kids. I work full-time as a dispensary manager at Life Pharmacy the Palms. Fitness is my passion, it’s what drives me, I love motivating and inspiring others. I’m up everyday during the week at 4.45am to teach classes (No I’m not crazy). If you want something bad enough you will find a way to make it work & fit it into your life. Something I always say is you have to FIGHT! for what you want... Never give up ever...
I believe our bodies tell the story of who we are and what experiences we’ve had in life. Then every form of movement becomes a space for transforming the beliefs we have about ourselves and our perception of life.
I’ve been practicing yoga on a daily basis since I was 19, but my mum was a yogini and reiki Master so I could say I pretty much grew with an interest in the spiritual realm and have always been on a quest for physical ways of expressing my soul. I’ve done ballet, pole dance (yes, loved it), contortion and trapeze at the circus and you can frequently see me doing animal flow and acroyoga at the park. I’ve completed my yoga training in Argentina, with an Iyengar-alignment basis, and have done several other training in Ashtanga, vinyasa flow, yoga therapy, bio decodification and pregnancy yoga. Having a special love for Yin and Forrest yoga, I aim to hold space for healing and igniting our soul’s purpose in each class I share.
I am really happy to be a part of BodyFix sharing values of community, team work and positive change .

For as long as I can remember one of my main goals in life was always to ensure I am fit and healthy. I've been in the fitness industry for 12 years and still look forward to every group exercise class as I did on day one!

The hardest thing about exercise is to start doing it. Once you are doing exercise regularly the hardest thing is to stop it. Hence why I have loved teaching Group Exercise for many years! Not to mention the added benefits of:

"YOU WILL NEVER WIN IF YOU NEVER BEGIN"
I’d always been one of those kids more keen to get out on the sports field rather than stay in the classroom, playing for Counties under 17s and surfing during the summer, plus athletics thrown into the mix. When the opportunity came up to play rugby for the army, I jumped at the chance which saw me travel and play rugby throughout NZ, as well as South East Asia and Australasia.
After 5 years or so, I became an assistant PTI – helping train our recruits and infantry soldiers in the second first battalion. This helped me learn and understand how best to train people in a group environment and kept me fit in the process, a passion that I still maintain today.
I currently work fulltime however in early April 2013, I decided that I wanted to explore the possibility of group training again. Following this, I completed my Spin Certification and the rest they say is history....I like to mix things up a bit from the gym, also continuing surfing, playing Div 1 Masters football, tramping and a very recent introduction to hot yoga. Come and say hi if you see me in the gym, I am always happy to share my knowledge with anyone, and I never get people to train in something that I wouldn’t do myself.

Hi team – I’m Alexa but most people call me Lexy so feel free to jump on that bandwagon. You may have seen me floating around over the past two years running a spin class for the Arthritis Foundation which evolved into Spin Lite! I have a degree in clinical physiology and a post graduate diploma in rehabilitation so I have a real passion for helping all kinds of people fit movement into their lifestyle. I also have three boys so other special talents of mine include riot control, drowning out loud noises and feeding an army. Super duper excited to be taking up another role with the Bodyfix team and looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi, I've been in the industry for over 30 years (yes, some people just don't know when to leave!!!) and still love it!! I love teaching yoga as I get a buzz when watching people leave class looking happy and relaxed, with just a little nervousness that they could be sore tomorrow.
The emphasis in my teaching is the connection of body and mind as I endeavour to help you remain fully present in your body, so that you move with mindfulness and learn to listen to your body.
I think this 'mindfulness' is why people feel so peaceful after yoga, even if we've had a strenuous, sweaty, physically challenging class.
I've been practising yoga for 20 years and teaching for ten. I'm also a massage therapist and dance teacher, so bring a keen sense of anatomy and alignment to my classes.
Leisure-time finds me growing vegetables, reading thrilling novels, running round the Marshlands and eating chocolate.

Fitness is my passion and has always been a major influence in my life and lifestyle.
I won my first New Zealand Aerobics title at the age of fourteen. As the national champion I went on to represent New Zealand from 1996 though until 2001 when I left New Zealand for my overseas adventure.
I have now returned from living in England after 14 years. In this time I have managed four different studios, presented as a National Master Trainer and taught classes in around 12 different health clubs.
Teaching classes is what I love to do... I love keeping up to date within the industry finding new ways to keep my classes challenging, fresh and effective... I would love to see you in class real soon!

I started practicing yoga 8 years ago and quickly chose to become a teacher to share the benefits of this practice and help students to stay connected to their true selves, their bodies, minds and spirits. I completed my 200 hours teacher training course by two times: in Vinyasa Flow in 2013 in India and in Ashtanga in 2014 in Bali. Since then I teach and practice both Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga.
I love practicing yoga because it create the perfect balance for both my mind and body by making me feel healthier and stronger. More than a de-stress, yoga helped me to learn everyday about myself, understand the strengths, the edges and the limits of my body. In a word, to be more confident.
The amazing feeling of mindfulness and ‘being present on my mat in the moment’, is what draws me back on it constantly.
I think that practicing yoga is a good opportunity for everyone who is looking to alleviate stress or anxiety, facilitate healing and generally improve their day to day feeling of wellbeing. If you are already an athlete, yoga is the perfect supplement to activity you care to do and if you aren’t doing any other physical activities, then give yoga a try! And don’t forget, yoga is not about touching your toes, it’s what you learn on the way down!
And where else to start than in a friendly atmosphere that you can find at Bodyfix! One more thing: if you have sleeping troubles, I can make sure they disappear quickly!!!

I have trained with Beth Shaw for Yogafit and have been practicing yoga for over 10 years.
Along with training and teaching I have also presented for the NZ College of Fitness, Presented at Netfit and gym upskill conventions.
